On Thursday, Judge Susan C. Rodriguez did not issue a ruling on the preliminary injunction sought by Joe Gibbs Racing against Chris Gabehart and Spire Motorsports in the ongoing lawsuit concerning alleged stolen trade secrets.

Following a 35-minute recess at the conclusion of the hearing, Judge Rodriguez indicated that additional time was necessary to reach a decision. She emphasized the importance of delivering a correct ruling given the significant implications for the businesses and individuals involved.

The preliminary injunction aims to maintain the current situation until the case is resolved, which would prevent Gabehart from working with Spire Motorsports.

The six-hour session did not yield any new information beyond what had already been presented or filed with the Western District of North Carolina.

Joe Gibbs Racing continues to assert that Gabehart misappropriated confidential information and trade secrets for use at Spire Motorsports. However, the team has acknowledged that they currently lack evidence showing that the information was transferred to Spire Motorsports.
