Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race came down to a two-lap shootout after 250 laps.

The old saying "it isn't over until it's over" truly came to life on Saturday at North Wilkesboro during the final laps of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where Chandler Smith drove his Chevrolet to Victory Lane.

Corey Himes dominated 162 laps of Saturday's truck race and seemed poised for an effortless victory, but the final stages of the race unfolded differently.

With tires that were 68 laps older than Smith's, Heim led the field for the overtime restart on Lap 254.

He swiftly moved ahead of Smith on his inside and Riggs behind him. However, Riggs made a powerful charge through Turns 3 and 4 on the white-flag lap, maneuvering to Heim's inside.

Riggs moved up into Heim’s truck, which turned sideways as Smith took the lead and raced toward the finish line with Riggs following closely. Smith's victory over his teammate was by a margin of 0.611 seconds.

Smith led only the final overtime lap on Saturday to secure his seventh career win in the Truck Series.
