Tyler Reddick's recent victory has etched his name into the NASCAR record books.
Reddick successfully defended against a formidable challenge from Shane van Gisbergen during the final 20 laps at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, becoming the first Cup Series driver to win the first three races of a season.
Competing in a Toyota co-owned by Michael Jordan, Reddick secured victory at the season-opening Daytona 500, triumphed the following week in Atlanta, and won from pole position in the first road course race of the year.
Jordan, the basketball Hall of Famer and six-time NBA champion, joined Reddick's 23XI pit crew, celebrating with high-fives as Reddick crossed the finish line.
"It's one race, but it was so important," Reddick remarked. "Achieving three consecutive wins and making history is truly fitting."

A historic achievement for a team and ownership group known for creating milestones. The team challenged NASCAR with a federal antitrust lawsuit, resulting in a settlement in December that was hailed as a significant legal triumph. This secured a permanent franchise-style model, ensuring the team's long-term business viability.
Since then, the team has been unbeatable on the racetrack.
"I'm proud of the team we've assembled," Jordan said. He praised co-owner Denny Hamlin, who also drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, as the "mastermind" behind their racing achievements.
"I just provided the funding," Jordan stated. "Denny has done an incredible job building this team."
Jordan also mentioned he will attend the next race in Phoenix to see if Reddick can continue the winning streak that has established a commanding 70-point lead in the drivers' championship.
Van Gisbergen, who won five of six road course races in 2025, failed in his attempt to achieve a record-tying sixth consecutive road win. The only road course race the Trackhouse driver did not win last season was in Austin.
"Tyler was simply outstanding," van Gisbergen remarked. "You're always disappointed with second when expectations are so high."
Reddick was exceptional all weekend in his quest for history. His 11th career victory was also his second at COTA, a track designed for Formula 1, marking the first time he has secured multiple wins at a single track. He previously won at COTA in 2023.
Despite appearances, it was not an easy win for Reddick. Van Gisbergen was close behind for several laps in the final stage but never found the speed to overtake, eventually falling further behind over the last six laps.
"I was just trying to minimize mistakes, Shane is so good," Reddick commented.
