NASCAR expected to return to Canada

After two years of discussions, setbacks, and advances, it appears that the popular American auto racing series NASCAR will be back in Montreal in 2026, according to Le Journal de Quebec’s reliable sources. If the project is well crafted by the event organizers, the Cup Series cars would then run in 2027.

The Xfinity Series, formerly known as the Nationwide Series, would first race on the Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit in the summer of 2026 in addition to the Truck Series, according to our information.
