The NASCAR Xfinity race remains full of surprises, even long after it ended. Jesse Love finished first in his No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, but he is required to return both the checkered flag and the winner's trophy.
After the race, an inspection uncovered a problem with the rear suspension of the RCR driver's car, resulting in Love's disqualification and the forfeiture of the race victory. He is now officially recorded as finishing in 37th place. NASCAR clarified the reason for the disqualification: "All mating surfaces between the truck trailing arm and the U-bolt saddle must be in full contact with each other."
JR Motorsports driver Sammy Smith, whom Love passed in the final overtime restart, will be declared the race winner. This victory represents the third win of Smith's emerging career and his first in the 2025 season. Parker Retzlaff advances to a career-high second place, with Harrison Burton finishing third, Brennan Poole in fourth, and Taylor Gray securing fifth.
