Frankie Muniz, known for his role in Malcolm in the Middle, surprised the racing community by announcing his decision to become a full-time driver in the NASCAR truck series.
Although he has impressed with some performances, the racetrack has been a place of misfortune for him. Over the weekend, he experienced his fourth "did not finish" of the season after crashing into the wall with 25 laps remaining in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in Texas. On race day, Muniz, known for his passion, expressed his anger over the radio following the incident.
Muniz was having a strong run with the Reaume Brothers Racing truck and was aiming for a top-20 finish before his front right tire blew out, causing him to hit the wall. As he exited the car, the veteran actor couldn't hide his frustration.
Honestly, I’ve got so much going on right now, and I’m like, man, give me a win. Like a win, like, feeling like we finished the race, I thought we were racing good and you know, doing alright. Just out of my control again. I’m over it, to be honest.”
Even though the race ended on a challenging note, Muniz expressed his determination to return.
"Just arrived back in Vancouver! I'm looking forward to spending the day with my wife and son, and then enjoying a fun week filming more of the Malcolm reboot! I'm also eager to get back in my race car in Kansas next weekend!"
