Denny Hamlin is skillfully managing multiple responsibilities.
Hamlin emerged victorious at Michigan International Speedway, securing his third NASCAR Cup Series win of the season and the 57th of his career, all while balancing his duties as a driver, an expectant father, and a co-owner of a racing team that is currently suing NASCAR.
As the laps passed, Denny Hamlin managed his fuel efficiently and closed in on the leaders who were still conserving their resources. Carson Hocevar was leading, but his fuel situation was dire, and he didn't make it much further due to a cut in his left rear tire, which forced him to head to pit road.
Driving the No. 11 Toyota, Hamlin moved to the inside to overtake William Byron on the 197th of 200 laps. He distanced himself from the group to secure a victory by over a second ahead of Chris Buescher.
