In the fourth round of the Verizon IndyCar Series, Alex Palou further solidifies his championship lead with a flawless performance, securing the pole position on Saturday and only relinquishing the lead during his three pit stops. Palou finished over 16 seconds ahead of Christian Lundgaard.

Lundgaard maintains his impressive start to the season with Arrow McLaren, achieving his second podium and third top-five finish. Both of Lundgaard's podiums have been hard-earned, as he advanced from 12th to third at Long Beach and from seventh to second at Barber.

"We hadn't been as good all week as it was at testing," Lundgaard explained regarding his and Arrow McLaren's challenging qualifying performance before the Grand Prix.

Last night, the Arrow McLaren No. 7 team made adjustments that provided Lundgaard with the speed needed to progress through the field.

"We made that change overnight, and it was a deal breaker," Lundgaard continued to IndyCar's Georgia Henneberry.

Scott McLaughlin, who has won the Barber weekend for the last two years, settled for a podium finish after Lundgaard overtook him on fresh tires around lap 40.

Colton Herta continues to experience a streak of unfortunate pit stops, as he missed a podium opportunity due to a stuck tire and stall during his second pit stop for used reds on lap 45.
